*Disclaimer: This disclaimer is intended to clarify that there are multiple versions and variations of Hellenism (Greek mythos) from various readings in the ancient past. Because of this issue, all of them are compilations of several myths from several authors. Each of these myths was personally selected for the story and researched to ensure they fit chronologically together for my story.

Personality

In the eyes of the Olympians Ares was a bloodthirsty, violent god with zero empathy and only acted out of sheer selfish impulse. Zeus’s decision to strip him of his Olympian status Ares, now forcibly the constellation Aries. To the gods, he then became slightly more caring, supportive, and considerate of the impact his actions have on others at times, yet Aries still gets carried away when fighting in the heat of the moment. Unbeknownst to the majority who doubted him, he’s always been this way. Those closest to him and his children had always seen him in a good light despite his duties as the brutal god to which was boxed in, felt obligated to keep up skewed perception. Which unfortunately only backfired in the end and still Aries doesn't regret his actions of that day. Zeus most likely will never be satisfied with his “disappointment of a son.”

Mythology

"The character of Ares in Greek mythology will be best understood if we compare it with that of other divinities who are likewise in some way connected with war. Athena represents thoughtfulness and wisdom in the affairs of war, and protects men and their habitations during its ravages. Ares, on the other hand, is nothing but the personification of bold force and strength, and not so much the god of war as of its tumult, confusion, and horrors. His sister Eris calls forth war, Zeus directs its course, but Ares loves war for its own sake, and delights in the din and roar of battles, in the slaughter of men, and the destruction of towns. He is not even influenced by party-spirit, but sometimes assists the one and sometimes the other side, just as his inclination may dictate; whence Zeus calls him alloposallos. The destructive hand of this god was even believed to be active in the ravages made by plagues and epidemics. This savage and sanguinary character of Ares makes him hated by the other gods and his own parents. In the Iliad, he appears surrounded by the personifications of all the fearful phenomena and effects of war; but in the Odyssey his character is somewhat softened down.It was contrary to the spirit which animated the Greeks to represent a being like Ares, with all his overwhelming physical strength, as always victorious; and when he comes in contact with higher powers, he is usually conquered. He was wounded by Diomedes, who was assisted by Athena, and in his fall he roared like nine or ten thousand other warriors together. When the gods began to take an active part in the war of the mortals, Athena opposed Ares, and threw him on the ground by hurling at him a mighty stone; and when he lay stretched on the earth, his huge body covered the space of seven plethra.The gigantic Aloadae had likewise conquered and chained him, and had kept him a prisoner for thirteen months, until he was delivered by Hermes. In the contest of Typhon against Zeus, Ares was obliged, together with the other gods, to flee to Egypt, where he metamorphosed himself into a fish. He was also conquered by Heracles, with whom he fought on account of his son Cycnus, and obliged to return to Olympus. In numerous other contests, however, he was victorious.This fierce and gigantic, but withal handsome god loved and was beloved by Aphrodite: he interfered on her behalf with Zeus, and lent her his war-chariot. When Aphrodite loved Adonis, Ares in his jealousy metamorphosed himself into a bear, and killed his rival."

Mythology

"According to the myth of Taurus, The Cretan Bull is known as Cerus, son of the monstrous titan Typhon. It was said he was a handsome bull who had been sent out of the sea by Poseidon who he served under, that Minos might sacrifice him to the god of the sea. Minos was so charmed with the beauty of the animal, that he kept it, and sacrificed another in its stead. During this time Queen Pasiphae Minos' wife lusted after the bull and coupled with it later gave birth to the Minotauros (Minotaur) Asterios, a man with the head of a bull. However, because Minos refuses to sacrifice the bull, Poseidon punished Minos by enraging the fine bull which would cause great havoc on the island. Cerus was a large and powerful bull now owned by no one, villagers were terrified of him because of his tendency to trample their villages to pieces on a whim and all across Crete and Greece. Though he was not immortal, most people assumed him to be because of his sheer size and strength and the fact that despite all of the destruction he caused nobody was ever able to stop him. One day the Spring goddess Persephone finds him trampling through a field of recently-bloomed flowers and goes to him. Though he cannot speak, he seems to understand her and her presence calms him. They form a bond together, and the bull learns to behave himself. Persephone teaches the bull patience and how to use his strength wisely." However, "Herakles was commanded to fetch the Cretan Bull as one of his Twelve Labours. Upon completion of this task, he set the creature free, it eventually found its way to the Athenian town of Marathon where it laid waste to the countryside. There it was finally destroyed by the hero Theseus.
The bull was placed in the skies as he was favored by the goddess Persephone but also as one of the labors of Herakles. It's still said that "every year in the spring when Persephone returns to the land, Cerus returns to the land to join her. She sits upon his back and he runs her through the fields, allowing her to set all of the plants in bloom as they ride by. In the fall when Persephone returns to Hades, Cerus returns to the sky as the Taurus constellation."

Mythology

"Gemini constellation represents the twin's Castor and Polydeuces in Greek mythology. The brothers were also known as the Dioscuri, which means “sons of Zeus.” In most versions of the myth, however, only Polydeuces was Zeus’ son, and Castor was the son of the mortal King Tyndareus of Sparta.
The twins’ mother, Spartan Queen Leda, was raped by Zeus, who visited the queen in the form of a swan, associated with the constellation Cygnus (the Swan), and she became pregnant with Polydeuces and Helen (who would become the famous Helen of Troy). Leda later also became pregnant with Castor and Clytemnestra (who would later marry Agamemnon and eventually murder him and be killed by her son Orestes). Castor and Clytemnestra were fathered by Tyndareus and, unlike Zeus’ children, Castor was mortal while the Pollux was a Demi-god.
Castor and Polydeuces grew up together and were very close. Castor was an excellent horseman and proficient at fencing – he is said to have taught Heracles himself to fence – and Polydeuces was famed for his boxing skills. The two were part of the Argonauts’ expedition to get the golden fleece. Polydeuces’ boxing skills came in handy when Amycus, a son of Poseidon who ruled Asia Minor, refused to let the Argonauts leave until one of them fought him in a boxing match. Polydeuces accepted the challenge and easily won.
The twins came to the crew’s rescue on several occasions. They have been known as the patron saints of sailors and were said to have been given the power to rescue sailors who were shipwrecked by the sea god Poseidon himself, who also gave them two white horses, which the twins often rode.
The Dioscuri are associated with St. Elmo’s Fire, an electrical phenomenon that occurs during thunderstorms when a coronal discharge from a pointed object in a strong electric field creates a luminous plasma. The phenomenon is named after another patron saint of sailors, St. Erasmus of Formiae. St. Elmo’s fire would appear to sailors as a glowing ball of light during thunderstorms and they considered it as a sign that their guardian saint was with them.Castor and Polydeuces eventually clashed with Idas and Lynceus, who were also twins and former Argonauts, over two women, Phoebe and Hilaria. The other two brothers were engaged to them, and Castor and Polydeuces carried the women off. Wherein each had a son; Phoebe bore Mnesileos to Pollux and Hilaeira bore Anogon to Castor. This began a family feud among the four sons of the brothers Tyndareus and Aphareus. The cousins carried out a cattle raid in Arcadia together but fell out over the division of the meat. After stealing the herd, but before dividing it, the cousins butchered, quartered, and roasted a calf. As they prepared to eat, the gigantic Idas suggested that the herd be divided into two parts instead of four, based on which pair of cousins finished their meal first. Castor and Pollux agreed. Idas quickly ate both his portion and Lynceus' portion. Castor and Pollux had been duped. They allowed their cousins to take the entire herd but vowed someday to take revenge.
Some time later, Idas and Lynceus visited their uncle's home in Sparta. The uncle was on his way to Crete, so he left Helen in charge of entertaining the guests, which included both sets of cousins, as well as Paris, prince of Troy. Castor and Pollux recognized the opportunity to exact revenge, made an excuse that justified leaving the feast, and set out to steal their cousins' herd. Idas and Lynceus eventually set out for home, leaving Helen alone with Paris, who then kidnaps her. Thus, the four cousins helped set into motion the events that gave rise to the Trojan War.
Meanwhile, Castor and Pollux had reached their destination. Castor climbed a tree to keep a watch as Pollux began to free the cattle. Far away, Idas and Lynceus approached. Lynceus, named for the lynx because he could see in the dark, spied Castor hiding in the tree. Idas and Lynceus immediately understood what was happening. Idas, furious, ambushed Castor, fatally wounding him with a blow from his spear – but not before Castor called out to warn Pollux. In the ensuing brawl, Pollux killed Lynceus. As Idas was about to kill Pollux, Zeus, who had been watching from Mount Olympus, hurled a thunderbolt, killing Idas and saving his son. Pollux would run back to his brother, Pollux, being the demi-god son of Zeus, insisted he share his immortality with his twin Kastor (Castor). Zeus was moved and due to their kindness and generosity in life, they were apotheosized and agreed to pollux's wishes, but in order to appease the Fates, the twins had to spend alternate days in heaven and the underworld. Zeus then also placed them both in the sky, where they remain inseparable as the constellation Gemini." 1 2 3

Personality

Cancer builds walls around people he doesn't feel comfortable with, getting defensive or emotionally charged quickly. Cancer is not the most social sign to strangers, so he prefers his close group of friends and gets anxiety in over-stimulating situations. When it comes to fighting, he is the weakest sign in the zodiac. The fastest of the signs, he is nevertheless very dependable and always eager to assist and support his friends in any way he can.

Mythology

"In mythology, Cancer is associated with the crab in the story of the Twelve Labours of Heracles (represented by the Hercules constellation).
In the myth, Hera sends the crab to distract Hercules while the hero is fighting the Lernaean Hydra, the serpent-like beast with many heads and poisonous breath, represented by Hydra constellation. When the crab tries to kill Hercules, the crab gets crushed instead and Hera, a sworn enemy of Hercules, places it in the sky for its efforts.
However, she places the crab in a region of the sky that has no bright stars, because, despite its efforts, the crab was not successful in accomplishing the task. Cancer does not have any stars brighter than fourth magnitude. The name of the crab was said to be Καρκινος (Karkinos)"

Leo is fatherly, easy going and prideful, with lots of confidence and charisma. He can become very one-track minded when upset or angry and has been known to lash out. Due to this, he has immense control over his anger and can act playful or taunt heavily especially infront of those he does not wish to show that side of himself when angered.

Mythology

"Babylonians knew the star Regulus as the King Star. Both the constellation and its brightest star were well known in most ancient cultures. The Greeks associated Leo constellation with the Nemean lion, the beast killed by Heracles during the first of his twelve labors. Both Eratosthenes and Hyginus wrote that the lion was placed among the constellations because it was the king of beasts.
The lion lived in a cave in Nemea, a town located to the south-west of Corinth. It was killing the local inhabitants and could not be killed because its skin could not be pierced by any weapons. Heracles could not kill the lion with arrows, so he trapped the lion in its cave, grappled with the beast and eventually choked it to death. He used the lion’s claws to cut off its pelt, and then wore the pelt as a cloak, complete with the lion’s head. The cloak both protected Heracles and made him appear even more fearsome."

Virgo, the well-organized maiden of the zodiacs. Despite her intimidating nature at times, her confidence in herself, confrontational nature, and even her tendency to be domineering, she has a big heart. She shows this by her love of dogs, and how dearly she holds them, which clearly shows how big her heart is. When it comes to interacting with others, she is able to form a plethora of connections. She grew up with Scorpio, one of her closest connections.

"Chiron was eldest and wisest of the Kentauroi (Centaurs), a Thessalian tribe of half-horse men. Unlike his brethren Kheiron was an immortal son of the Titan Kronos (Cronus) and a half-brother of Zeus. When Kronos' tryst with the nymphe Philyra was interrupted by Rhea, he transformed himself into a horse to escape notice and the result was this two-formed son.
According to an archaic myth, Chiron was sired by the Titan Cronus when he had taken the form of a horse and impregnated the nymph Philyra. Soon after giving birth to Chiron, Philyra abandoned her child out of shame and disgust. Chiron, effectively orphaned, was later found by the god Apollo, who took him under his wing and taught him the art of music, lyre, archery, medicine and prophecy. Apollo's twin sister, Artemis, trained him in archery and hunting. Chiron's uniquely peaceful character, kindness, and intelligence are attributed to Apollo and Artemis.
The rest of the Kentauroi (Centaurs) were spawned by the cloud Nephele on the slopes of Mount Pelion in Magnesia where they were nursed by the daughters of Kheiron. Kheiron was a renowned teacher who mentored many of the greatest heroes of myth including the Argonauts Jason and Peleus, the physician Asklepios (Asclepius), the demi-god Aristaios (Aristaeus) and Akhilleus (Achilles) of Troy.
The old Kentauros was accidentally wounded by Herakles when the hero was battling other members of the tribe. The wound, poisoned with Hydra-venom, was incurable, and suffering unbearable pain." "Prometheus the Titan saw his plight and managed to help him. It is not clear what exchange Prometheus and Chiron made, but the Titan made Chiron mortal, and enabled him to finally voluntarily relinquished his immortality." Capricorn is the satyr Pan, the god with a goat’s horns and legs. "When the gods fled from the monster Typhoeus and hid themselves in animal forms, Pan assumed the form of a fish-tailed goat, Aigipan.
